dont do it

it will look sh1te, not meaning to sound harsh but the textured valances will just peel in no time unless do correctly, and with rattle cans i doubt you will get a factory finish/match. save your money and get it done right...

why not?

For £15 it works just fine provided your prep the surface correctly.  OK, so it won't last as long but if you chip it you won't be too gutted at ruining your expensive paint job

Yeah i didn't colour code mine but that's not the look I'm going for.

Just take your time and build up the layers of paint and lacquer

looks like a tidy job you’ve done there Rhyso

that’s why waiting for a good day, spend some time doing it,  if I did a good job well look nice  cost not a lot or I do it and looks crap. . . I go to the scrap’s /ebay get a replacement.

WHOOPS ! ! !

Thought may as well give the grill a clean as its been sat in the garage since i put my de-badged grill on and had road crud all over it.
Thought i would separate it to clean it and . . .I was a bit ruff with it and snapped a clip

Clean now! Shame my car isn’t, hope its good weather tomorrow so can give it a clean if not the grill well stand out loads lol

A bit of glue and FIXED!.

tonight i well put my first coat of the black on, leaving it for now to dry fully.

Done   :lipsrsealed:
but i think my second coat of the lacquer was a but thick and didn’t go down smooth so doesn’t look as good as i wanted but not bad for my first attempt. But it well do for now the rear well look nice when i do it, also is there a way to keep the lacquer more matt looking? myn looks a bit glossy now, respray next couple of weeks i think      .

i have been thinking of doing the inside of the vw red on the grill seen it on a black golf and it looks very nice, Red or Toxic green i was thinking just something different .
