APR might be a chip.. revo certainly isnt.. although they -may- need to plug directly into your ECU to upload the map, no big hassle.
Pretty sure revo will be cheaper too..
only downside is no switchable maps for your car with revo, just performance or standard (if you buy the SPS1 to switch, otherwise you're in performance mode the whole time)
Can't comment on apr's switchable maps (i.e one for standard, one for perfomance on normal petrol, optimax.. etc etc) because i don't know anyone who's chosen that route.. and i know a LOT of people with remapped 1.8T's... wonder if that's a sign ?
