Thanks for the advice my boat is not heavy only 5.5m around 750kgs am sure a gti will be fine not be as good as my subaru but it has to go - have used a fwd before for a smaller boat with no probs.
Dawnskaybug have you actually had some experience/problems with boats and front wheel drive?
