Did the front bumper design change at some point?
« on: 18 January 2010, 22:32 »
As per title, did the front bumper design change at some point? Only noticed this when looking at bored_welsh_lad's lower vents thread. Look at the indent line between the fogs and number plate on this car, it is the same width as the line going to the edge of the bumper:

While the same indent line between the fogs and number plate on this car looks thinner than the one coming from the edge of the bumper:

Any info on this?

They are both EU bumpers as they both have the EU plate cutout. The US  bumpers don't have a plate cutout and have side repeaters.

My guess and it is only a guess, one is a genuine bumper the other is a pattern part, or they used 2 different suppliers.

I have non textured bumpers and the line is the same all the way round. Same applies for the rear bumper, as we had to chop the centre section of the rear bumper out to plastic weld it into the front bumper..

That looks a really nice, clean, tidy car. What actually happened to it? :lipsrsealed:
