I would have faith if it did not snow over night every night for the past few days.
I also have that lawn fungus that Alan Tichmarsh was talking about on his TV show yesterday, at least i learned something yesterday as i had wondered what that white patch was on the lawn after the snow melts. Its due to too much water/snow. Only cure dig the patch out and replace it

Well seen as the worst of the Winter weather seemed to be over i thought my recently purchased Vredsteins were to be stuck in the garage ?

But hey presto the snow and sh-tty weather seems to be back so i decided to fit the winter wheels,

The difference between them is like night and day, the grip from the Vredsteins is miles better than F1s and you actually go into corners and under braking with so much more confidence.

Never really messed about changing tyres to suit road conditions as i have always been under the impression that a good tyre is about the best grip your gonna get on ice and snow etc. so you tend to make do, i would definatley recommend to others the difference is unreal,

Not really happy with the silver R32 alloys on the Mk6 thou
Also fitted front mudflaps while the wheels were off, to stop the stones etc flying down the side of the car

No not got any pics of it yet and plus internet down at home  writing this from work

Quick pic off phone :undecided:

Neil, Are these the model of that brand you went for in the end?

Do you know what recommend conditions temps, snow, ice, water, dry the company say they work best in etc or not to use them in?

^^^ Hi Snoops,
yes thats the tyres that i went for,
very pleased with the grip and less road noise than the F1s, not sure on temp useage thou,
Weather seems to be getting better around here now, just a bit of frost in a morning so Vwrs will be going back on in a couple of weeks, (fingers crossed)

Much prefer the look with them on and be giving the R32 rims a graphite makeover me thinks

Thanks,
Im still trying to decide to either keep my other old banger car for the 3 to 4 months of winter use as its worth less than a grand or sell it and buy some winter tyres to fit onto the 17" monzas for winter use.

It snowed yesterday evening, but it was only a dusting.  It's gone in the places the sun shone.  Perishing cold though!

I've got that lawn problem too.  Several circles on the front lawn as if someone had been sitting a hot teapot on it.  And a vast area at the back.  Oh, and when they came up the road with a JCB to cart the piles of snow away, they carted some chunks of perfectly decent turf along with it.  My gardening company was heard to say something about needing some turf, and I guess that's it.
