Have you tried mytyres.co.uk?

Mytyres have taken the order online but mentions that if no stock money will be refunded, so will have to wait til tomorrow to see,

Just had an email back from Mytyres and i went online to track delivery, they where picked up from Lehrte in Germany at 5.10 today,
 so looks like not a lot of stock in this country for Vredesteins  :smiley:

How long (time-wise) do tyres last before the rubber perishes?  One argument against winter tyres I saw was that they might perish before you wore them out.

The other was that they're meant to be used at below 7C and winter is generally above that in Britain.  I'd like to invite the writer of that to spend a winter around here.

Preferably in a tent.

They should last 5 years if you keep them covered when not in use - UV is one of the biggest problems for rubber.

The other was that they're meant to be used at below 7C and winter is generally above that in Britain.

The amount of silica in the tread compounds is optimised for below 7C but they won't fall off the road on warmer days. They might wear  a little more quickly though.
