So i went back to the dealer with the 2 R's

I was not too far away the other day so called into the dealer and saw the blue Golf R in the show room. Was the first car on the right when you walk in.
Sorry guys but it just looks bland and like a basic golf with a bit of an after market bodykit. Even with the blocks taken out etc it still just looked way too - standard golf. I almost walked past it thinking it was a 1.4 or something with a stick on body kit. It was only until I saw the twin pipes at the back I twigged.

Just my thoughts, but IMO I would have been feeling sick now if I'd have put a deposit down blind on the car without seeing \ test driving it first and ended up spent over 30k on the Golf R, just my own opinion. I'm sure it's a quick car etc, but looks don't do it for me.

I'm sure the R will be a great car to drive, but like JellyCat, I walked past one without even noticing it. Was looking at a line of GTD's and GTI's. The R was parked directly opposite and until a Salesman pointed it out I hadn't twigged it was there. Was in the Rising/Lazer Blue colour?
However, I did see a white 3 door yesterday and again overlooked it, but on closer inspection it did look rather nice. Not over 30 grand nice, but nice!!

If you want a Q car as it's been called a lot in the forums  -they you're in luck!
I bet it's a top car, but it's just the looks. I think I'd hold out for the RS3 when it comes out I can see a trade in of my Mk6 in 2011/2012 (that's if it turns up lol).
