Fair play to ya mate! Go for it. £1900? paid about that for my first car (Nova Merit 1.2!)

it's only money. You're a long time dead!

Absolutley, money ain't worth anything until you spend it :)

Give Admiral a try. They have always been much cheaper than everyone else for me and they seem to be able to insure you on pretty much anything for sensible money.

When I was 24 they quoted me £1100 a year to insure an E39 BMW M5 V8 - madness!

I'm currently 27 and they are covering me fully comp on the GTI for £490 a year with £150 excess. I only have 2 years NCB.

Christ that's good!

Just got mine insured through Sky Insurance for £506, they also insure my mk2 and as they use a number of insurance companies (both of mine are with Chaucer) specialise in performance and modified cars. Daniel in sales has been very very helpful. Give them a call.

Oh and they treat membership of this forum as entitlement for a discount!!!

try bell

i was with admiral on my previous car

bell are part of the admiral group i paid 1400 fully comp 1 day after i turned 21 for my gti

very good and easy company to deal with aswell, they will match admiral quotes and admiral will do the same with bell quotes as long as you have the quote ref number

Bell, Admiral, Diamond and Elephant are all the same group. They will ususally price match each other, though, confusingly.

The GTD is like a blow up doll. The GTI is like a proper woman. Sure the doll might last longer, and the woman might have higher running costs, but which would you rather have?
