Coolant Light

Started my GTD this morning after 3 days covered in snow and frozen on drive
left it warming up but the coolant light came on and said refer to manual?
ran car for a mile after half hour warming, light still on.
I turned engine off and restarted and light went out???

any ideas? was it just warning me it was cold or...........?

As damianmkv said, as long as there is coolant in there, I wouldnt worry too much, this weather will be doing no favours to our cars.

Thanks for advice guys I will check. My concern was could the coolant have been frozen?

Your coolant should take you to at least -35 before it freezes.

Have to say I've been really impressed how mine has handled.  Starts and stops very well considering what its driving over.

Been driving to and from work every day during all the snow and ice, have had only one incident when the tyres locked up under braking but it was a momentary lapse on my part on a side street when I should have been doing 10mph but had sneaked upto 20 but apart from that its handled fantastically.

Re my Bambi on ice it has dunlop sp sport 18Inch tyres
I wonder if its the tyres???
