Yeah, just pulling your leg.
You can look at wheels and cars in photographs until you go blind but they always look a bit different when you see them in the flesh. I tend to spend months hunting down second hand sets and if I get bored of them or decide the design isn't for me I just move them on again at minimal loss but a little hassle (which can be fun sometimes as I've met some great forumites buying and selling bits over the years). If you're going to shell out for a brand new set you need to get it right first time.
The Pescaras are a bit fiddly to clean but look too small against the fat bumpers of the mk6 GTI in the flesh. I had VZ 033s which are similar and just looked too small.
The CKs (which you don't like) are a brilliant design for cleaning as it is so easy to get your hand in behind the spokes and give the wheels a clean front and back each time you wash the car. The width and offset of the VZ 033s and CKs are perfect and fill the arches just the right amount. Again, photographs don't pick this up.
