just made a nother quote here are the results

but i do have 9 years no claims bonus as i had insurance on a tractor when i was 16

Plus you're setting your voluntary excess to £500!!
I bet I would get mine under £500 if I set my voluntary excess to £500 - but I don't think I'd fancy ever claiming if I had to pay out £750!!

Can anyone tell me how much a tracker costs?  Directline didn't mention a tracker at all - but if it makes a big difference then it might be worth getting.

Not cheap then?!

I'd be looking at about £438 for the tracker, plus fitting (if thats not included), plus an additional £342 subscription fee - and thats only for the middle Tracker Horizon version!

So £780 excluding fitting... WOW!

I couldn't resist trying this even although I can't afford a Golf R

41, good postcode and never claimed on my insurance, been driving since 17, only £250 xs

£272 seems like a bargain for me plus going through quidco would get me the insurance for £232.  Maybe I should use this as a starting point for the Mrs to see if I can get one

If I do gocompare.com and put in all my details...

Bearing in mind I had an accident this year where they paid me out over £21k (not my fault though!).
I'll be 32 in about 2 days, and my fiancee is 26.  Neither of us have any convictions.  Car will be kept in a private car park - but no garage.  Both of us on the Golf R with a value of £35k and with no tracker...

£369.10

The highest is £1083.04

I've never heard of the first few companies on the list, so would be a bit dubious... but for around the £400 mark I can get ASDA, AIG, Privilege and some other better known ones.

What is going on with my quote then, I live in a low rate crime postcode, have 7yrs no claims and have 1 other car with full no claims or 5yrs, and also have company car.  Im 28 in Feb but have an SP50 which i have had for 4yrs in Jan, and have never claimed. I am also single.

Mine only went down about £30 when I added my fiancee on my ED30.   I added her anyway for the saving and just didn't tell her!

I will look for quotes more seriously nearer the time - but I'm quite pleased with anything under £500 to be honest!
