Help with Head lining
« on: 18 December 2009, 19:46 »
Hi Guys, I have bought the Mrs a GTI for Christmas, and have been painstakingly doing it up over the past month ready for the big day in a weeks time, and I've been putting off the main job.....
The roof lining is sagging either side from front to back, but the centre is still held up nice and tight. Can I just put a few small (biro size) holes along the edge and spray upholstery glue up there and then slide my hands over the roof from the middle out? If that makes sense!
Many thanks in advance :undecided:

Spray glue seeps through the material, trust me, I found out the hard way

Best thing to do is remove it all and recover it or ignore it

There is a carpet tape that does work, it's called mushroom tape, it works a treat, can be purchased at most good diy stores.
