Faulty N75?
« on: 18 December 2009, 13:34 »
I've been having a few probs recently that were boost related on my Golf and I think I've found the culprit...

It's had a really loud intake noise on boost and I've been seeing 24psi on some runs which I hadn't been seeing when I just got the ECU back from the the remap

I'd also been hearing what I can only describe as a fluttering noise and then sometimes the turbo stalling and losing power

My first thought was the turbo was shot but I decided to do a bit more thinking as there were no other symptoms to back this up

Since changing the N75s over I don't get the really loud turbo wind up and I'm seeing about 16psi but I can't do much else due to roads being either too busy or old bill floating about and I don't fancy 3 points as an early Xmas present lol

Does this sound right to anyone else that's had one go wrong?

I'm leaving everything alone now until I get a chance to go up to R-Tech and get the boys to give it a thorough going over

Could it be the DV, as my mate got alot of flutter with a DV that went, just a thought?

Didn't know AGU's had n75 valves, where are they?

Imagine it must be alot of fun, but can the k03 keep up with it as I though over boost damages and wears the turbo out?

Also any idea of what the internals can take boost/torque wise?

How much of a difference are the k03's as im debating between going ko3s or ko4-001 (direct bolt on, but havent found anyone with one to tell me if its any good)

For the money spent getting the K04 to full potential i dont think you will be happy, I'd say K03s IMO.
