i agree with VW Prime and the likes, Obviously i havn't spent as much as you (jake) on my car but i have spent a fair amount on it since i got it in febuary and all the comments on how nice it is just make it all worth while, and i've met quite a few new people on the way aswell. So i dont care what car i could have got with the amount of money i spent and i'm sure jake doesnt.

Jealous peoples now days

Keep up the good work jake, Cant wait to see it at the RR in january... I either have first dibs in yours or daves golf lol...  HIGH FIVE!!!

Cheers mate, i've had an idea about a pic like that in my head for ages i've just never had the opportunity to take it. The only annoying thing about that pic is that i kept getting snow on the lens lol. you coming to the RR in Jan? Whats happening with ze Saikou Mitchi!?!?

there's no jealous at all a about it , I personally spent 1000's on my golf and still spending , it was just my own personal opinion on it and is true his brakes cost mega bucks just the pads alone cost something like £500 ... I appreciate he done alot on the his beloved golf and keep it up , what I said I nothin negative or anything against Jake just a friendly reply ,I was just replying the last message regard the Porsche gt3 ,It seems like to me if someone post a topic u can't add ur opinion on it ...

Evening guys

Bloody hell this topic has got nice and heated

I really appreciate the feedback! Espececially VW PRIME and PAYNE ...... thanks guys, comments like that honestly do make it all worth while!

As one of you mentioned i dont post things on here for the fun of it! Im only on this forum , i ocassionally go on uk-mkivs but to be honest ive not been on there for ages! As i dont want to! I see this forum as alot more closer. you actually get to meet sound people, and begin to understand how each member works on here!

My golf is literally my pride and joy, and its nothing to do with money....i just want to get it to a standard where people look at it ,and think.....' you know what, that guy has done a mint job on that' . And i also want to make it different! I could have quite easily bought some dished BBS, and lowered it, EURO bang. that easy, but no...... i dont want to follow trends. Dont get me wrong , euro is uber cool! Its a beautiful scene !But not for me!

I put my updates on here to say ... look guys this is what ive done! Take a look and give me your opinion on it! Good or bad i dont mind!

As if i asked my girlfriend to take a look at the carbon bonnet she would not give two bloody hoots!
Yet saying i could have bought another car whats the point in that???

So when people say u could have bought an evo, it pisses me off.... yeah i could have bought an evo !But im a vag man, trying to add to the vag scene!

God bless all you lovers........

Haters actually make me want to continue on it! As critisism is the key!

There are just a hell of alot more cars out there for less money than the golf that are much more fun to drive and will run rings around golfs on track. I am generalising there as obviously there will be some mega sorted golfs out there which will be an exception but then for whats been spent on those golfs you could be tracking a Porsche GT3 etc......

Why O why do people writ this crap on here!!!!!
I would probably say there are 99% of people on theses forums have in some way alter/ modified there cars to make them better or to make there own stance/look compared to others and to what they perceived there car to be in there eyes.
We modify our cars because we want to. Its FUN, its Learning, Its about making friends, etc. that why we do this thing instead of going out and getting a Porsche, Aston, Evo.

Like you said Jake. It’s a “VW Forum” ffs, and we all know that there are other cars out there that are quicker, better handaling etc but that not the Friggin point of it is it!
It’s the love we have for the VAG rang and not the others, that’s why we do this sort of thing.

Jake, my hat has been take off and bowed down to you for doing what you are doing. It mega!!!!!. You car will be and inspiration to a lot of people on here and I would say this is prime example why we all love our Dubs as this is what we like to do. Keep up the good work mate and I look forwarded to seeing that’s next up you sleeve.

Sorry about the rant chaps. Just don’t get why people put this stuff up.

Wow Mr VW PRIME you really are a knight in shining armour aren't you **shakes head**

You actually managed to miss out all the positive comments i made towards Jake and his lovely track inspired Golf and pick the one comment that i only even wrote because Jake asked me to and you've took it totally out of context to make me look like i twit.

I don't appreciate being made an example of especially when i don't deserve it and if you look back through the thread you will realise that Jake has took no offence to what i have said to him so why the hell should you????

Just for the record i am big fan of golfs (which is why i bought one obviously) and vag in general and when you post up picks etc on public forums they are open to peoples opinions, it would be a pretty boring forum if everyone just kissed each others arses all the time, like anybody else i convey my opinion without intending to upset anyone and give credit where i think credit is due.

Lastely welldone jake on not following the crowd and like i said earlier, fair play to you, your doing something you love and your golf is looking good

read my message again dudes, it pisses me off when people accuse me of saying why dont u buy an evo ,which i didnt say , all i said was an evo with a remap, straight through exhaust and stripped out can give any car a run for their money that they  spent on their car , i was only refering to the porsche gt3 comment , which the porsche is expensive whereas an evo is reasonable and price and can give porsche a run for the money .....

movin on about opinion if someone cant take opinion then they better mention it on their thread so people will not bother to make opinion , just state KISS MY ARSE AND I KISS UR'S !
