THE BIG DAY IS DONE (well.... 90% done)
« on: 17 December 2009, 00:40 »
Evening all!

Well.....i have just got in from my garage very cold yet very very happy! As i threaded yesterday i was fitting my bonnet and my windows today! Which both i was quite apprehensive about as panel work is an art to fit properly! But anyway....

Tonight i cracked on with it ! And i have never been happier with the car (apart from she is horribly dirty) This weekend i am taking an SLR camera out for the weekend and getting some actual proper photos of the car! So these pix on here are a bit sh!t. but just wanted to keep you all updated!

The bonnet looks so good i would actually mate with it if it had a hole! Honestly...really good quality carbon! And FULL CARBON NOT SKINNED

The windows are AWESOME. i know there not to everyones taste, but i love em! They really add to the track look im going for! Yet these photos do no justice. they really dont!

The reason im only 90% done is i still need to fit the driver window, as only did passenger one tonight but will be done by Friday! Anyway.... here are some crappy pix! But honestly boys... she looks like a serious track slag now!!

Soooo ..... bonnet off

Looks weird without a bonnet

And new bonnet on......

As i said, dark photos at night in a garage do it no justice! Cant wait to get some really good photos!

Anyway.... onto the window

This is the pro slider kit! (not cheap )

These windows are used on all the VW cup cars! The company who made them for me makes them for them all!

Very happy man! As i said, sh!t photos, but looks great guys!

silly question, but can you lock/secure the windows? or can you only go where you have use of a garage?

look cool as mind, but bit silly if unsecurable

just my 2p

carbon looks good though especially on silver, but personally i'd paint it body colour

she looks so slaggy now, she could be straight out of yate

morning guys

Yeah they are normally not able to lock! Yet as i do use this on the road ... i aksed them to customise them by making a locking mechanism on them! So you cannot open them from the outside, only the inside! So they are secure as a normal window. if not more secure as u could hit these with a hammer and they would not go anywhere!

Thanks for the comments guys. I wont be spraying it body colour as i dont see the point! That is the natural colour of carbon fibre people relate to, therefore if i have spend £650 on the bonnet, i would prefer to show it off rather than cover it in paint!
