Thought so, cheers.

Admiral has worked out best for me too. I'm 32 , 7yrs NCB, no points or claims and have a 95 8v. £409 fully  comp with p/ncb. I think my main problem is living near the city centre and parking on the street.

I can live with that tho' as i clearly remember paying £700 tpft on a £600 fiesta supersport!

I have heard many stories (mainly bad) about HIC insurance, should you ever need to actually make a claim on your insurance. Are they worth avoiding or not?? :undecided: :undecided:
Have had a good quote from them in the past but any advice appreciated

Golf 16V, 26 years old, 8 years no claims, Fully comp, £288 from elephant.co.uk  EDIT: mk 3 Golf

Cheapest insurance I've ever had since I've starting driving.

ps, BIG TIP: Sounds daft, but add your mum, dad, or spouse's name to any insurance policy and get an extra discount!!

Would never use Admiral even if they were cheapest. They can be arses when it comes to paying out I have heard in the past, and even bigger arses when they suddenly decide to take extra money off your direct debit near the end of your policy without asking, like happened to me. I went to a solicitor over them a few years ago and they eventually sorted themselves out after about a dozen letters.

That is a good quote splinter, but what mk Golf? Elephant second cheapest quote and have been with them in the past, but they are all part of the Admiral Group anyway (Bell Direct, Elephant, Admiral) and have found from experience (Direct Line) that insurers never like paying out but some are easier to deal with than others. Only specifically remember bad words about HIC.

The 'TIP' is always used and saves me about £50+, and the same works on the mrs's motor if she adds me.

That's true, you can't get away from them. Same with mobile phones. Phones4U seem to buy everyone out at one stage.
