Hi Guys,

I am a newbee from Holland and ordered my GTI MK6 today I would love to chat about my options etc but is there a December order's 09.
I do not want to spoil a (this) thread in my very first post...

Okay 

First off all I ordered a Carbon Grey (at the moment I drive a Black Metalic GTI MK V)
I ordered Detroit Alloys (18 inch and a bit more beautiful cause of the inlays) instead of the Denver Standard...I think that it is the same as Monza.
Now my dealer claims that when ordering those alloys the car comes with a different suspension...is that so ?

And my second question if I put say 100 Gig on my Ipod can it fully communicate with the 30 Gig GTI Harddisk....or should I not acceed 30 Gig on my Ipod??

For the record my "extra's" :
RNS510, camera, mediabox, sunroof, leather, DSG, Park Distance, Led Rears, winterpackage, light and sightpackage 1 and 2....actually nearly everything except the xenon...only reason for that.... my wife said enough is enough....somehow I had a feeling I should not take it any further 

Anyway  if you have any questions about extra's shoot....

Just had a phone call from the dealers to say that I have now got build week 8 , so should be a 2010 plate but then there's the VAT crap on top??? I am going to wait for it though!!

Thanks Neil, yes i have to agree with you there my freind, currently driving Ed30 so the wait is not that bad !! Time flys, It took me just 2 test drives to make my mind up?? But i had these doubts weather I was taking a step back? But i just loved the refinment of the mk6 thats what did it for me!! the wait is still difficult though!! Enjoy steve

a lot better refinement than the mk5 and imo better looking, same power and then some if revo'd  of your ed30

yes neil, not sure about moding though?? I dont to want lose the warrenty?? I think if i went for a re-map it would be blufin?? revo is just to much going through the FWD ( to harsh) buying new tyres all the time?? I would like to try a re-maped mk6gti though!!  steve30

Everything is ordered and my deliverydate will be the first week of april 2010.
The last couple of days I have read the complete Mk6 topic.....after hours of reading I am in the mood to say the least

Just come back from the dealer's my car has been put back to build week 9 now!! I asked him if he could source me a car GTI but the answer was no ziltch nothing in the system?? now looking at the end of March now ?? Its bloody crazy never known anything like this for a golf GTI !! You can buy an M3 or an aston Martin quicker than a GTI

Sounds about right to me. you ordered a month after me and your build week is a month after mine.


I could have custom speced a 911 and had it quicker.
