Hey guys, my car cut out the other day, then when i restarted it the engine management light started flashing, this is what vagcom told me-
Control Module Part Number: 038 906 018 BL
  Component and/or Version: 1,9l R4 EDC 0400SG  2128
           Software Coding: 00002
            Work Shop Code: WSC 31414
4 Faults Found:
17969 - Quantity Adjuster (N146): Control Deviation
        P1561 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17970 - Quantity Adjuster (N146): Upper Limit Reached
        P1562 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17971 - Quantity Adjuster (N146): Lower Limit Reached
        P1563 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16989 - Internal Control Module: ROM Error
        P0605 - 35-00 - -


what does the n14679812 do where is it located and how much is it going to cost me to replace?? All help is much appreciated chaps thanks in advance

anyone any ideas where the n146 is?? im assuming its on the injection pump and how do u adjust it???

P0605 rom error , sounds like ecu fault !
P1563 Injector pump control module reqeusting engine stop

has it been remapped ?

not that i know of... ive been told its the older type ecu that you cant remap you have to change the ecu??? dunno how much truth is in that??

i just had a nosey at my injection pump and there is a sender unit with a single wire attatched to it, i removed this wire and tried starting the car and it didnt start so im assuming that this is the n146 gunna go to the stealers and get a price on one!!

looked at etka and if its your fuel pump you'll be looking at just under £1000 and for the solenoid?? around £135 from vw

If its the injection pump its more like the scrappage scheme for a mk6 or a scirocco!
And if its the solenoid its more like in the pocket from the scrappers!!  :evil:
