during the last bout of snow, it took 3 weks to get cars from the docks at Emden through to UK dealers - hope conditions are a bit more favourable.

Not heard anything, It was suppose to be built last week, it may well have been, I don't expect to hear from the dealer until they want something off me and they have the car there.

Daviescotland: on the sept/oct/nov threads,
GTI has landed at his dealers as hes been to see it.

ordered 28/10/2009, MK6 GTI,
BW07
confirmed production complete 10/02/2010.
Arrived at dealers 17/02/2010.
driving it on 01/03/2010

Aye snoopy. Been up to see it this afternoon, it's looking good. Quite bizarre how it completed production a week before the build week, im not complaining though  :smiley:

I took a couple of pics on my phone today but they haven't turned out so well. I'll prob get a chance over the weekend to take another couple and post them

MK6 GTI, 3 door, candy white, 18" monza shadow, Xenons, RCD 510 w "dynaudio", sunroof, rear view camera, cruise control & free servicing.
Ordered 28/10/2009. BW07 confirmed. production complete 10/02/2010. Arrived at dealers 17/02/2010. Driving on a 10 plate 01/03/2010.

How much,
Mines due early March.
Lets see,
I have now got 3 gallon of wax oil, The compressor presure regulator is fixed for the waxoil process.
The rubber lifting pads are ordered.
The wax/polish/sealer for the paint and wheels is soon to be ordered.
The paint for the hubs is ordered.
The rubber front mats are ordered.
The extra garage space will be sorted this weekend and maybe next ready for it coming.(thats a big task!).
It will not be used daily till the bad weather is over in a month or so and will sit in said heated/dehumidified garage next to the mk1.
Im looking at the seat lifter badges, and door sill trims.
I may treat it too LED rear lights and 18" wheels before its let out.
GAP insurance is too sort out.
and im sure there is more  :grin:

Wow- I'm but a mere novice... I'm only constantly searching the internet for reviews, comments etc on the GTI to whet my appetite..  Popped into Wayside earlier today and my bad boy is still waiting at the dock in Germany to come over here. It's been there for a few days so I've been told by the dealer. He also said he's got another 7 cars also due to be coming and reckons they're all likely to be on the next boat.. I'm soooo hoping it's be here in the next couple of days or so  :smiley: :smiley:
