Weitec Hicon GT Coilover
« on: 20 November 2009, 20:40 »
On the DPM web- site they state they drop:
Front Lowering: 30-50mm
Rear Lowering: 30-50mm
Is that correct as the other makes all do on average 100mm?
Ive got a set of FK on at the moment and they are on the verge of being dangerous as the locking rings are braking into pieces.
I can replace these from venom but the kit is 4 years old and looking tired so I was reading through the posts on coily's and the Weitec's get a good amount of praise. But i kinda wanna go fairly low. Could someone please confirm..
Cheers
Darren

they go a lot lower than that, i have them on mine.

some manufacturers quote up to 50mm for some sort of safety/insurance reasons. Ever tried telling your insurance company you want to lower more than 50mm? Most will refuse to cover it.. i guess it's related to that in some way.

As said they go a lot lower, Weitec state 50mm for TUV approval.

Cant rate DPM and Damien enough.
Ordered mine from them about 6 wks ago. I live in N Ireland and the delivery was fast and they were a perfect fit with no hassles at all.
Weitec quality is excellent and they have settled a treat. Defo go an awful lot lower than 50mm.

Really pleased........just need to sort my rims now!!

You have made a great choice.
