Mine's cut out once, completely randomly one night taking my ex home, started up 10 mins later though, had plenty of times it's conked out on me though when wet...usually due to my stupidity of driving through puddles, but making big splashes is too much fun.

For the record I've have owned the car two years February 2010.  :smug:

My 1.6 used to conk out all the time when I first bought it.

Was typical really.. the person I bought it off delivered it to my door and it seemed to be running fine. As soon as he went, I started it up to move it and it just died, great!

Changed the plugs and filter, still no joy. Bodged the accelerator pedal to keep it running and it worked for a little while, but then kept getting worse.

In the end I got it plugged into a computer, which told me my throttle body was knackered, so I got a second hand one and I've not had any problems since
