From what I hear most of the gsf parts are pants. My mate got a pair of bottom arms for a 306 n it looked like a 10 year old had made them. But if you spend all ur money on beer n funny fags like me then I think the odd thing from gsf is allowed lol.
Might be worth getting the thermostat from vw though cus you want that to work properly mate

vw item is much better quality and therefore last alot longer, i have read on here and other forums of gsf items failing within 6 months, and when it comes to a critical item like a thermostat you dont want it sticking shut cos that will fook your engine
same goes for oil filters only buy vw

wayne gardner smokes one rothmans too many

Hmmm belts are probably the sorta things you wanna be able to rely on, VW I would say for them, they are still fairly cheap aint they

GSF's are OEM spec MANN filters - perfectly adequate.

Also wrong. GSF's are OEM spec, again, perfectly adequate.

Would I buy a thermostat from GSF - why not, I'm already running a GSF waterpump (and have been for 2 years).

here, here nothing wrong with gsf parts ive used them for years with no hassle.. vw are raping your wallets

from what i gather vw dont make the bits and peices for older cars and sorce there parts from outside companys so there probally exactlly the same just with differant labels... and if your a bit strapped for cash its really a no brainer
