money saved? but if your camber is out and you get uneaven wear then 'said saved money' will be going on new tyres its one fo those things that i had to do but saved some money only cost me shy of £300 to sort my wheel alignment out instead of 400 thank god for GB

Camber on the rear is unlikely to be out on 2WD Golfs though unless its been in a shunt or you've twitted a kerb. So ergo we are still saving money as we are less likely to have problems compared to you 4WD boys

hiya guys, i sorted out my front tires was just the tracking was toed in too much, HOWEVER the mechanic showed me the back tires (cos there was a light humming noise like a wheel bearing) and the inside edge of the rear left handside tire is really badly worn but in a strange way all wavey and bumpy you can see it quite obviously. any ideas? its kind of sloping up and down around the tire very strange.....

Yes mate, a common wear pattern on golfs due to suspension setup (described as 50p pattern).  Got our tyres replaced for this very reason, after rotating wheels to front and thinking I'd thrown a bearing cos of the stupid noise they made!

By the way. you can get adjustable tie arms for the golf!
