Thanks everybody - got it all sorted including track and band names.

But it is slow. Not only am I having to resave all my stuff to MP3 but then I'm up and down stairs from the computer to the car. To be fair I've been saving my songs at the highest bit rate (320 I think) so I might try saving the next few at a lower bit rate in the hope that they save a bit quicker (and presumably use less memory on the 510?).

Whether I continue to do this when the novelty of the 510 has worn off though remains to be seen!!!!!

a mate has an Evo X and with his HDD based stereo it has a feature to rip songs onto the HDD as you play them off the CD.  pretty cool, can the RNS510 do something similar?

RNS510 can't do that

if you burn 4gb of music onto a dvd you can then copy the songs from dvd to hard disk.

I have read elsewhere that there is a new firmware update that lets you use SDHC cards in the RNS510 therefore you could in theory use an SDHC card that has more capacity than the hard disk!
