Hold Delivery For New Plate?

Advice please. 

With delivery moved from BW48 to BW02 :angry: Should I take delivery early Feb and enjoy a great car on a 59 plate or should I ask the dealer to to hold on for 2010 plate in March then get the bad boy?

Am I missing out on resale if I take 2009 plate?

It's a good question. My initial response is as long as it's registered in 2010, whether it's 59 or 10 doesn't make any difference .... to me, but may have a slight drop come resale; dunno.

How polite. Isn't that the exact point of a forum? Ask a question, receive a variety of answers, make up own mind based on newly gained information.

It's been answered a bajillion times before when waiting for 09 and 59 plates. also the point of a forum is to actually read it too, is it not ?

I plan on holding out till 1 March 2010 if my R arrives early - unlikely though that may be.

If it was me personally and it was my own personal car i would probably say sod it and wait if they would let me.

It depends how long you intend to keep it. If you plan on changing it after 2 years then the newer plate will make it worth a little bit more.

I tend to buy my cars, stick my number plate on it so that the neighbours and clients dont know I've got a brand new car, and keep them for a good few years. That way age or depreciation don't really factor into the equation.

for the few quid more you will lose having it on a 59 plate compared to how much your going to lose as soon as you roll it off the forecourt does it really matter.  :undecided:
