Are you talking water temp or oil temp? Its not unusual for oil temp to hit 110, but it is a little high. Water temps are ok up to about 105, but 90 is more like it.

Don't have MFA on the GTD

On the way into work today it got near 3/4 on the temp gauge sitting in the Oxford traffic  That's the highest I've ever seen it! usually it gets to 1/4 with normal driving and 1/2 when booting down the motorway. Traffic started moving and it went down to just over 1/4 again by the time I got to work.

Mine rarely goes beyond 100 (oil) but considering what yours is putting out, it sounds fine.

I've got a MK2 16V that reaches the: 1/2 mark town driving, and the 1/4 mark motorway driving. I'm not really sure what the exact figures are for the oil as I don't trust the MFA readouts..

I was holding 110 solid for about 30 mins a while back (on a german motorway) and my oil temp was at a mighty 120 degs, once I backed off to normal speeds it dropped to a more reasonable 105ish.

I saw mine over 140+ when the coolant pipe split in heavy traffic. Had no choice but to stop/start.

the temp needle was off the scale

104-108 on the oil temp MFA, and the radiator fan cuts in, temp gauge reads just below half way. oil and filter coolant are new. only sitting on the drive thou. not taxed yet LOL
