Just spotted bargain project car on E.Bay
« on: 19 October 2009, 20:12 »
As title have just been trawling E.Bay and seen this bargain up for auction. If it wasn't for my moaning missus I would take this on as it looks a nice piece of kit and with a little work would look the business. What do you guys think??   http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1989-VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-GTI-YELLOW_W0QQitemZ250516411602QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAutomobiles_UK?hash=item3a53f1       Cheers     Deano

So many things wrong with the look of that golf, quite cheap though.

same League alloys i used to have on my old rover, always wanted to put  them on my old mk2! they suit the mk2 even though theyre 17"

sounds like a lot of messing about to put that back on the road. when you bear in mind i sold my gti daily for 300 quid and that was on the road, none of this "non runner" nonsense.

I don't think a semi will give the same results

BB MKII's look soo good in yellow with the black trim. Put it back to a standard grill, some 15" dished RS's with body coloured centers and an ABF and I reckon that would be sweet as.

See Doogals quote.  I was meaning it looks like a pretty easy project. VR it with a charger and throw away the rear end look along with the front end. Would tidy once done.
