Why not keep the Polo and shovel the cash into the track slag and use it occasionally to quench your petrol thirst?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

Because driving the Golf on the roads is a painful deafening experience I like to do as little of as possible. I'm fed up of driving a kids car and I quite fancy something more grown up, larger and comfortable and also something that isn't screaming like a crack whore at motorway speeds.

Awwww, c'mon it's a great and very sensible car.

And this sounds like a kid's tantrum.

Arse. Tyres below legal limit, have some replacements from Camskill, lost locking wheel nut key. Tried 3 separate tyre places and all said "Nah mate, can't get those ones off without the key."

Not entirely sure how I'm going to get to work now!

Locking wheel nuts are the devil's work.

Not entirely sure how I'm going to get to work now!

Very quietly, I would suggest....

Tried another place who said they could get it off but when they looked at it they said the design of alloy means they can't get the tool into the recess. Only option seems to be to get the grinder out and cut the wheels off. Er great.

Can you not hammer a larger socket onto it?

If you can weld, you could tack a nut onto the top and undo it with a socket that way.
