I see the R uses a bigger turbo, does this mean more lag (I hardly notice any).

Heres a very quick photoshop I did - rising blue with black wheels...
I seem to have lost the brake calipers... but then they're black anyway  :wink:

That's my current favourite combination: Rising Blue with black wheels. Though, I fear VWUK will only do the silver wheels. :cry:

Also like the Candy White with black wheels - but already got a white car.

I must say the more I look at the rising blue, the more tempting it is!
I'm just scared that every R made will be in rising blue!
I also wasn't sure if it would go with the black wheels - but I think they look great with all the black bits on the car (mirrors, diffuser etc).

I also think that VW UK won't get the black wheels  :cry:
Maybe just order the silver ones and then see about a set of aftermarket black ones later - or even powdercoat those ones?

I had a silver Mk5 R32, then a DBP (similar to Rising Blue) Mk5 R32. Now, I know which one I remember most fondly. :grin:

Black wheels seem to becoming more and more mainstream (for example - the new Renaultsport Mégane 250: http://bit.ly/apkPs). I'm just going for it (if VW provide the option).

Please excuse my rough photoshopping - but check out the Golf R on the VW Motorsport black wheels.  Again, these are an optional extra in Germany ( http://volkswagen-zubehoer.de/shop/product_info.php?info=p723 ) - but probably not here!
If this was a choice, I'd certainly pick it over the Talladegas!

Black wheels look :sick:. I've seen the Scirocco in Viper green and thought it looked good though. Although everyone else will probably have it too, Rising blue is my choice of colour for the R.
