All wheels are repairable, even if i had those 17" monza's, it would hate to scuff the beggers.

So even my shiny black ones are there to be scuffed

........just dont tell the wife  :lipsrsealed:
Your wheels are lovely, will they chip ?
Golfgti build quality is average at best.

I guess I can get the wheel repaired, but having done that with under 1,000 miles on the clock and so easily too, I wonder if it's worth it or if I should just recover my relaxed attitude to the state of my alloys.

I did it on a rather high kerb outside the church, where the road has a deceptive curve to it.  The thing is, I've done the same thing a dozen times with the Peugeot, and frankly a lot worse over the years.  Yes, its alloys had scrapes on them, but they weren't that bad - even though I was completely careless about them.  These Monzas seem very easy to damage, in comparison to the Peugeot's alloys.

If that's the situation, I'm thinking I might as well just get used to it, and be thankful I didn't shell out for the more expensive ones to wreck.

Rolfe.

Look

How do they do the red lip on Monza II's - is it an add on ring over the rim,  like with BBS CH's ?

and where were they done ?   A1 Wheels by any chance ?

Very Nice Steve

Back on topic for a while.

To R32UK - Those Monza's you bought for £330 - as they are off a MKV are they the same offset as the MKVI Shadow Monzas?

Only I'm not quite sure about the MKVI offset, but I thought it was slightly different to the 51 offset of the MKV :undecided:

Yep came from a mk5. I would imagine the offset would be exactly the same, as i cant see any reason for VW changing them. Quite sure a dealer told me that the only difference between the monza II's and the monza II shadows was the later being painted black on the inside to make them appear larger.

Will check with my dealer tomorrow
