peter coopers!!

If they can't move my distributor.....whats next?? Its only out a few degrees but enough to drive me mad! its not nice pulling away from a junction juddering away!!!

Help!

Also....is there another name for the hood finishing caps(the ones by the bottom corner of the rear windows)
I cant find them anywhere....any ideas??

I had this one some car or other and you just have to beat the eff out of it with a hammer till it moves.

it looks like they have had some stilsons on the shaft......if i give it some.What are the reprocusions if it snaps??

You'll need a new dizzy and possibly to pull the engine out to get the remains of it out, but I'm not sure on that.

Oh bugger! what joy!! Is it likely to be the cog on the bottom which is jammed?? Will it hurt if I apply some heat..oxy accet??

Ive already spent a grand on this project.........expensive hobby this restoration malarky!!

what I do is remove the hold down clamp completly, then scrape out all the crud from around the base and in the lip around the dizzy with a thin screwdriver. then drown it in proper penatrating oil (not WD40!) and leave it for an hour or so.  Then come back and clamp some mole grips round the shaft, if you cant free it by hand tap the grips gently with a hammer, this will shock it loose.
