That suggests to me the wheels are wrong.

I dunno... The back wheels go on fine, without any problems and look like the offset is very similar to my standard gti rims. but the fronts just would not locate on the hub due to the caliper been in the way of the Spokes on the azev rims. So i used the 10mm spacers that were sent with them and its fine now. just looks bit wide at the front. thinking of putting 5mm spacers on the rear to make it look normal lol.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.  Looks nice tho, could do with about 30mm lower tho, (all in time) no rubbing issues anyway.

EXACT same trouble Im having.

all i can find on the wheels are markings.... 7 1/2 J (7.5j), H2. And thats about it. Doesnt say anything on the inside of the rim about what the Offset is... Has a number 10 and a number 30 on them, but no ET number.

Thing is, i like the look of them  There not rubbing/catching anything. and it doesnt look tooo bad at all with the standard shocks/springs i have. I'll take some pics tomorrow if i get chance. Has a Euro Style look 2 it.

They may not be rubbing or catching now but if you wanted to lower it then soon will.

To be honest dont think i will get it lowered now, cant afford to spend tooo much on me golf at the mo / or in the near future, coz i'm saving for a house

So as it looks right now, im pretty happy with it. Pics will follow either today or tomorrow.
Plus i like the wheels. suits the car great.
