Indicators and Rear lights gone mad!!!!!

right as i was driving this evening i noticed that when i put my indicators on, they would stop blinking when i pressed the brake. when i got home i checked the rest of my lights and basically when i indicate the rear lights start blinking as well, whats worse is that the inidactor on the other side will also blink very slightly.

confused with this, where would i start to check first

That would be a bad ground

Sounds like a dodgy earth connection on the rear lights.  Check them out.     Cheers     Deano

what would cause a bad earth connection???

also sorry for my stupidity where is the earth connection on the rear lights???

Dodgy earths could be caused by either the connections getting dirty or the earth leads breaking or just simply coming loose. You should find the earth leads near the light fittings in the boot. It will bolt onto the body right by the light.     Cheers     Deano

definately bad earth.

mate had a same issue, he just re earthed it. no issues with his now.

while your there check the rear light seals,circuit board for the bulbs and the wiring connector as the gaskets are useless with age (and even worse with some aftermarket lights!)

right just checked the earth connection, clean the contact points but still no luck.

any other ideas??

check the circuit board on the bulb holder as boney says.
