i wouldnt be so happy with a 5 minute (guess) car like they do at nissan.
No need to dis Nissan factory like that imo i know plenty who work there, and i know first hand how the place operates. Mind it depends which of the factorys your talking about as i also have knowledge of some of there overseas factorys/QC which are not all the same.

I think from previous posts of yours you may have bought the black GTI i was offered from stock.

i know ppl that work there too being in sunderland.  nissan like most japanese firms are one of the most efficient production companys in the world.  their line assembly is the best.  but the quality of build of a vw imo is slightly better than a nissan-  but nissans efficiency of its production is ultimately its downfall- with thousands of stock cars park around the uk gathering dust due to the economic crash.

lol - efficiency of build isn't a downfall.  the fact that their cars aren't in demand is their downfall, and that is due to cars that are not desirable as well as the economic downturn.

efficiency is good since this means lower costs.  they just need to cut back on production - not the same thing.

FWIW, I ordered my Candy White Highline model (I think that's the GT in the UK with some options like the winter pack as standard) + 1.4Tsi + leather + DSG + a load of options (but no Xenons and sunroof) in mid August and was told by my dealer here in Norway that the build week would be 45 and I expected to take delivery at the end of November.

Got a call at the end of last week that the the car had arrived already and was being preped. Went to see it last night - nice, and a very good quality of build I think, up to the standard of my Volvo S60 on initial inspection any way. Couldn't drive it away though as the winter wheels/tyres hadn't arrived yet. Bugger. So hopefully I'll get to drive it this Friday.

Awesome.

Except the price. Here in Norway it set me back almost £36,000 - yes, that's UK pounds.
