All fixed now, turns out the spinning wheel on the back of the wheel itself was on it's full rotation to one side so just turned it back 2 and a half times and all is good, the wheel was a b!tch to get off but a nice flatheaded screwdriver sorted all that :)

Well thing is it kept slipping out, it's hard to explain unless you saw it but it wasn't tight, it just kept releasing the pressure and going back to the centre.

Damn, that sucks, guess I was lucky then. Mind you my new problem is the trim around the steering wheel is all loose, I broke the plastic that holds the screws in place when trying to screw the screws back in lol! One thing after another.

Yup, scrappies tomorrow and on the hunt for trim lol! Due a trip there anyway.

Anyone else encouraged to do this mod now? It's so much nicer than the standard gash looking wheel. I advise you to do it lol!

I would, but as it's such an easy thing to do, I can see it being a popular mod, like Vento front ends. I'll stick with my tiny little momo style wheel instead lol.

Not many people have done it though  Not personally a fan of aftermarket steering wheels as they look too Jap. This keeps the OEM look and you'd never know it wasn't meant to be in the car in the first place.  :smug:

That trim is a nightmare, mine would never do up tight, I superglued them in the end.
