From what you report about Alan Day VW, I think you need to contact VW UK and set out your whole case to them.

That is appaling service - you should name and shame them.

I suggest you write a detailed letter to trading standards including copies of as much evidence as possible. Make sure you send a copy of the letter to VW UK customer service and the dealer principle.

Their ineptitude and fixing the fault is bad enough, but lying to you is not acceptable.

Have you considered mailing them one of your turds in a jiffy bag?
