Does sound too cheap mate, what year was it?
I'm looking about at the moment, ideally want a GT TDI 130 and have about 4500 to play with

Am hoping that'll be enough to get something with less than 90k on the clock
That should get you a tidy 130 mate, some people may say that is a little too much but I searched really hard in every corner of the country to get a good one with low miles like 60-70k and between 4k and 4.5k was where the good one's were.
I bought my last one for 4.3k done some work and ended up selling it for 4650, so they do and can go for in this region of money if low miles fsh and rest of the stuff.
For that dough you should get some extras like the winterpack which is really good to have to warm your arse up on these cold mornings :)

The link don't work mate

Sorry bout that, it was a mk4 gt tdi 130 80k 5 door black and £2200ono  Thought it would be too cheap tbh. But there are a few on autotrader etc.
That does sound very cheap, depends on what year it is.
I realised when looking to buy one that if it was a PD engine like 02 onwards I think, they were quite a bit more money, in some cases the difference between a 51 plate and an 02 plate was like 1k
