If the shell is sound then i would keep her, especially if you can do bits yourself.
The body is great with just a couple of superficial rust spots that would be easy to sort, and this is one of the strong reasons I'm 'probably' going to keep her.

Thanks for the positive vibes fellas, watch this space I guess!

Hi All,
Sorry about this but I've just bought a Transporter so the Golf has to go ASAP.
However I'm happy to give her away to an enthusiast for £100 if you can pick her up from South Devon by tomorrow 4pm and promise to lower her, add some neon, get some wheels, and most of all put a stero head unit back in.

Fors:
- The engine has never let me down: 2ltr, 8v, 123,000miles, new starter motor.
- The Brakes and Disks: All new on the last MOT.
- Tyres: About 18mths old performance jobbies.
- MOT: Valid till Sep 21st this year.  (Needs a rear wipper blade to pass but nothing else I'm aware of)

Against
- There's a dent in the front drivers wing, somebody reversed into the car whilst it was parked about a year ago.  Not an MOT failure problem.
- No Alarm fob but you can turn the alarm off using the dashboard key.
- The Drivers door lock doesn't work with the key.
- You have to lock the car and open it via the passenger side.
- Exhaust is relatively new but rattles a bit now and then, probably a hanger issue I've been too lazy to fix.
- Not Tax with the car.

If you've any questions ask away.  It's been an amazing car for the last seven years but time for pastures new for me, so it's an honest sale people, I'd just like to see her loved once more rather than end up a parts piece at the tip, especially as the engine is still so great.

Cheers
Ron
