stero wont store stations
« on: 31 August 2009, 21:08 »
Hi quick question, does anyone know why a car radio would not store the channels? I programme them in and they store fine, turn off my engine turn my engine back on and all the channels i've stored have gone, anyone any ideas?

sounds like a  permenant live problem.
there are two wires on the stereo, yellow and red.
one should have a constant 12v from the battery and the other should have a switched 12v from the ignition switch..
try swapping them to see if that cures it.
