Just renewed the insurance on my Wife's ED30......It's like torture!
I finally got a very reasonable on-line quote of £315 (inc. Business use)......but, when I phoned to confirm the details, I found that they wanted a list of ALL the optional extras that are fitted.
It can be very difficult to convey what I mean when I say it's got a Multi-function Steering Wheel, a Highline Computer and a Sound Pack!
Basically, it's ended-up costing me another £18 to cover these extra 'modifications'.
This must mean that in the eyes of an insurance company all VWs, Audis, BMWs etc are modified ......because, I've never found one that hasn't had something ticked on the options list!
Apparently, even mud-flaps can be considered a bodywork modification. I'm glad that VW don't supply any for the ED30!
