Just got back from the dealer - and ordered the indicator unit and a new case (+paint) £107 all in.

They wanted another £40 for them to fit it, but I told them to do one :D

Didnt think that was too bad, I'm sure I could get it painted cheaper, but I cant be a*sed to ring round and find out, as I dont know any paintshops.

Thanks as usual for helpful responses! Is the indicator assembly easy to fit? :D

Oh and apart from one very very fit bird working there, I wasnt that impressed with the dealers! Although nice enough, they were a bit clueless - and didnt seem capable of going to the loo themselves. I wouldnt be surprised if I turn up and they've ordered a red VW van mirror by accident.... especially after doing all the paperwork, me paying and then just walking off he asks... "it was the drivers side wasnt it?"

I await the results :D

tbh my dealership (Stourbridge) was really helpful. Salesman wasn't overly helpful after I'd done the deal (to be expected really, although they did start jumping when my Audi was still registered in my name a month later due to their cock up!!LOL!!)

The service dept were quite good (one VERY nice lady  )

And the receptionist, well, suffice to say. "Milksplat"

If you need a new mirror casing then it might be worth getting it painted by one of these smart repair places rather than the $tealers bodyshop - probably cheaper!

A friend of mine had the mirror knocked off his Audi A6, total bill from the Audi $tealer was about £360 (supply/fit/paint). Gulp.

My dad had the mirrors stolen (!!) off his Audi S5 and got a bill of nearly £900 from the Audi dealer!!
