I find the Audi S2 and TT owners the worse. They drive round like they've popped out to get the morning papers!

Nick

Youve been on track with the wrong s2 drivers
S4 Avant. Eibach springs. 18" Avus. RS4 Intercoolers. Viper Tuned. Goes Fast.

Yeah, but those all have the Porsche Tax added and are either run by PCGB which is full of toffs.

You should get on 928.org.uk.

Already do a couple through a different club, more salt of earth than PCGB.  Anyhow its looking like VAG will be VAPG soon.

You're forgetting the 911 owners who are now going to things like the VAG Action days.

Really, f*ck off home, you tw@ts - there are enough Porsche events to go to already.
Please don't beat about the bush and say what you mean!

As far starting on to trackdays, as everyone has said make sure your car is roadworthy, up to a days thrashing, remove all loose stuff and as much heavy stuff as you can be bothered to, and then go and have a good time. Most people at trackdays are friendly and always willing to lend a hand or advice.
Well worth doing a few sessions to get the feel and layout and then pay for a session with one of the instructors.

Trackdays are brilliant but make sure your car can handle it. I dont mean speed wise i mean the thrashing it will get, its a good way to test things like brakes and cooling systems to the limit.

e.g. a friend recently did castle coombe with new pads on his mk4 by the end they were half worn. If they had been old pads he would have had an interesting drive home

The last thing you want is to take you daily driver that you need to get you to work and back and kill it.

Actually he probably hadn't conditioned his pads before driving on the track.

Unless you heat cycle pads a bit before going on track they'll burn away VERY quickly.  Older pads that have been properly broken in will last a LOT longer.

Please don't beat about the bush and say what you mean!

Sorry Paul - my face fell on the keyboard....
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.
