thanks everyone, I'l let you know what happens. Also good idea about service history sonic2 and I'v taken all the cd player and speakers and other parts out yesterday 
might as well get it all instead of the scrappy having it!!

too right about keeping what you can, we've all paid enough insurance over the years, might as well try and have a bit left of the old car to feel smug about!
Throw the stock speakers back loosely in if you can/still have them, you probably wont need them for anything, and probably not worth much anyways.
