Ordered 27th June and I have a build week of 34 (Next Week  :laugh:).  I should get it in the first couple of weeks in September.

That wasnt the question. I'm looking to find out when you got told of your build week from when you placed your order.

VW HQ give the build dates... If they haven't given your order a slot in production, then they won't tell your dealer a date, so they won't be able to give you a date.

It also depends on what options your ordering on the car. Obviously a Silver or Black car with just simple options like 18" wheels and DSG are gonna be more readily avaliable (possibly even built somewhere already) than a car with a huge spec sheet like ACC, Sat Nav, Leather, Luxury Packs etc....

ordered 15 Jul, told build week 15 Jul.  i.e. I was told along with my order confirmation.

will be build week 34, and delivery 2nd/ 3rd week in Sep.  2 months.... not too bad.... fingers crossed!!!

woo hoo!  got an e-mail from the dealer today to say that my car has been built and is awaiting shipment!  approx 21 days to go!  :)

So roughly 3 weeks from being completely built until it is delivered to the customer?
I take it 2 of those weeks is for transport and a week is being prepared at the garage?

Anyone know how long they actually take to build?
I read in someone's post it was 2 days! Is this correct?
