cheers fellow 8 valvers. had the money to go for wot i wanted but just wanted sumthing cheep as chips to buy and run. heard a lot of stories about dodgy bits on the engines just glad ive not got any problems ......yet. lol. gona try do a few cheap mods to i over the next few weeks i.e paint the wheels gunmetal grey, paint the calipers red, just painted the grill matt black etc.

anyone got any ideas on the way forward for my project?

Looks alrite for the money mate altho the grill has been changed at some point as it should be red.

Ok u painted the grill,didn't see that bit not sure why u painted it but each to there own,just a little tip for you in the future when I get bored of it.....go buy a mk2 16v now there's a car that'll make u giggle!  :wink: :laugh:

the birds about 2 pop out a sprog so she didnt like the idea of an older mk2. painted the grill coz wen i bought it, it had a red stripe in the grill and looked daft so a 5ver of paint and laquer did the job. looks 10 times better.

Nice car! Lovely color as well. I should be picking up a red 3 door 8v in a few days too. :)

i ano. the previos owner had them on but not got round to gettin new ones. i wondered why all the piggy ba***rds where tryin 2 chase me the other nite lol

Fricken idiots with the 8V vs 16V vs VR6 debates!  :laugh:

It's about the low and slowness, on one of those things, my car kicks your cars ass. The slowness, 1.8 Auto :(
Golf MK3 1.8 auto and I didn't pay a grand for the "priveledge" :grin:, auto windows all round and a AC. Oh and I've got a luggage net you pricks!

Does that make my willy look bigger?
