Im pretty sure i saw this car for sale on pistonheads a while ago,it was on there for quite some time aswell which suprised me and made me wonder why as it looks really nice, altho in the pics on pistonheads it had some SERIOUS! camber
on those schmidt's on the back, unless it was another car that looks exactly the same including the exhaust and the shmidt's

Thanks for a serious post by someone.... Haha! sure it must be the same one mate. I saw it but didn't have the money at th time & it (eventually) disappeared off of there. The guy I bought it from said he had problems running serious camber before & so he had it adjusted with new tyres... I don't know why people didn't want it this time round though because it's a really tidy mk2. Full respray, engine runs sweet as a nut, gearbox is the tightest mk2 ive driven & has an immaculate set of schmidt wheels n tyres.

The reason I ask if anyone knows the history is cos the bloke reckons it was well known & I've come accross a few pics on here. Serious comments welcome please

pretty sure its two cars stuck together. If you look close you might see the weld marks across the roof

Cheers, I wondered what that was... & now you mention it 2 front ends with a steering wheel front and back does seem a tad suspect. Haha

I did a cut and shut on a golf once, that tornado red car was made up from the bits that were left over

Has anyone thought about changing the tag-line of the forum to "sarcasm & help since '02" rather than the other way round? Would be a lot more accurate...

Thanks mate, I really like it. Had so many admiring double takes driving it already. During my internet trawling iv found 2 previous owners already on here! The engines meant 2 have had a rebuild at some point so I'd like to find out what was done exactly as there's not much recent service history
