have given up trying to fit coilovers, know a bit but not enoughh

the garages want £254 off me, jesus!

ive found a garage that will do them for £150

i know they'll be fitted properly and your talking an hour a corner, so i guess thats not to bad

I was quoted between £110 to £170 so not too bad a price, it took me and dad 4hrs to do mine.

should take couple hours to do the lot. it is a very simple job. Dont give up!!

save yourself the £150!

are you having a problem getting the top nut off? just go buy a clarke 12v impact wrench from argos. only £20 and they come with the sockets and a 12v socket connection and clamps so you run it off the battery. it will rip the top nuts off in no time! also very useful for undoing other bolts and especially good for the wheels nuts, take wheels on and off like a f1 pit crew :D

Is it far from Suffolk?

I'd charge a fiver per corner and it'd only take me about 1hr 30mins - 2 hours

I've changed the suspension on so many Mk3's now, I know exactly what tools I need lol.

my local vw specialist charged me 2 hours labour equating to just over £100 with the vat added. The only tricky bit is undoing the bolts if there stuck on

if you were down here and i didnt have a project of my own i'd help. i must have hit every problem you can when doing a coilover change so now its easy!

the only hard part really is getting the top nuts undone, but they are easy with a 12v impact wrench. i thought it would be useless, being 12v, but they are actually really good. its a tool every car should have!
