Ok surname Kitson, most of them are in Freshwater and one of my sisters is in Newport she is married and now has the surname of Benwell.

Its a long story but to make it short I was born there but I was adopted as a baby so I was only there for 3 months, I have only got to know them all over the last 5 years.

Good news its back on the road i changed the following.

Wishbone ?10 (SECOND HAND)
Tie rod end ?17 (Brand new)
Suspension strut ?75 (Brand new)
Got new out rim for my BBS splits ?30 (from mo)
Split sheet metal sleeve for wishbone ?1 (brand new)

Did all of this and the damm wheel camber was still really bent.

So i thought i will change the hub housing just in case i wasnt convienced that it could of bent but there wasnt anything else i could change. I was begining to think that the chasis was bent and it would be a write off.

So i changed the complete hub yesterday and the disc brake as the other was bent. Got it all from the scrappy for a nice ?8 now i think thats very cheap

Put it all on and wow its looking kinda straight.

Took it up to the garage to have the tracking and camber sorted.

They told me the camber was perfect and didnt need altering its just the tracking was off the scale so they altered that and now im back on the road its perfect again. So im so happy now i was worried it was going to be a write off or somthing so thats all cool.

Now how much would that off cost me if i had of gone to a garage, me thinks ive saved a few bob

So the ?5 hub fixed it............excellent, well worth a go.........very pleased for you and glad its not subframe damage.

Yer the hub did the trick and who would off thought that a hub could bend when its that big and made of cast well all good now thanx for the help and input cheers 

And ?5 for the hub cant be bad either god only knows how much a new hub would off cost!

Also i have had the car checked out by the garage to see if its all safe and if the sub-frame or chasis is bent and they said its all good. thats good for my confidence for driving it cos if i didnt have it checked then i would be constanly worried that somthing may still be wrong with it and not know about it.

just get down to the scrappy and get a hub and wheel bearing, wat the drive shaft like shouldn't make a difference tho. see wat that does if you need any help just give me a shout im opening a vw garage in preston NW and we'll do any jobs 4 cheap, spread the word.
