you can remove the shafts from the gearbox, which is what i just said to you to do!!! iirc, there are 8 torx bolts that you will most likely round off if you dont use the correct size lol, but you can always bash a bigger size into it (ive done this 3 times now due to correded ones)...shafts will then pull off, then there are a few bolts that you need to remove to get the box off (iirc there are 4 19mm's and 1 10m but i cant remember off hand!)..before you remove the gearbox or the shafts remove the starter motor which is 3 bolts and keep it to a side...and also remove the clutch cable, its got that plastic hook thing on the end which keeps the cable from going through its protective sheeth thingy...its an easy peasy job, 3 hours max really

Thanks for that.....
will probably have a go when the rain finally stops
mine grinds in 2nd and 3rd which is very annoying.
If i sit on the drive with the engine running it goes into 1st fine but grinds into 2nd(does that sound like the gearbox?)..the clutch is quite new

before fitting a new box change the oil to some good synthetic stuff (you might need a motorsport supplier?) as these can sort lots of issues with the 020 boxes
