Well, had a day off, so decided that i would treat the old girl,

Job 1. Oil and Filter change, - Easily sorted.

Job 2. New Discs n pads on the front - Nice shiney Brembo's

Everything came apart easily, even the discs retaining screws came out

Then i thought, may aswell drop the old girl a tad . - HOW i wish i hadnt

Both fronts were fine, crub screw undone and they turned by hand after a quick soak with lube

OSR was a bit more of an issue, but after a bit of APPLIED PRESSURE it soon freed off,

THEN THE NIGHTMARE - the NSR was seized SOLID

C spanner was useless, ALL the variations of C spanner and Union connection spanners from work, chain wrench & strap wrench ALL FAILED

So it was time to take the tripod for a drive   :lipsrsealed:

It eventually gave way using a somewhat unusual tool for the job, but thank fook for late night opening halfrauds.

down abbout 20 mill front and 40 mill going by the pre and post measurements, with at least 50% of the coilies to go

but i RUB badly going over the speed humps and on and off the driveway

oh and I painted the VW badge black
